English Linguistics Students Club of the Department of English Linguistics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is the department’s formal student club, comprising active and motivated students who contribute to the academic and co-curricular life of the department. The club is responsible for planning and organising departmental events, activities, seminars, competitions, awareness sessions, and student engagement initiatives under the guidance and supervision of the Incharges of Student Affairs (ISAs).
The office bearers work as a student leadership team, coordinating with the department and assisting in the successful execution of various activities. Maham Shaheen, President of the English Linguistics Students Club, leads the club in its day-to-day affairs and oversees its activities, while Muhammad Talha, Vice President, works alongside her in coordinating and leading the club’s initiatives. Other office bearers support the leadership team in areas such as communication, finance, press and publicity, academics, and sports.
Through this structured student-led platform, English Linguistics Students Club provides students with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, event-management, and professional skills, while strengthening their engagement with the academic and social life of the Department of English Linguistics.
